fix it man
Today Parker was playing with his plastic army men with he came to me and showed me that one of them was broken. The base/feet area had broken off from the rest of the body. “Fix it, daddy!”, he said.
I explained to him that it was broken and that I wasn’t able to fix it. After all how am I supposed to melt plastic or re-mold it?
Parker was a bit upset by this and disappeared upstairs for a few minutes.
He came back down with a “fixed” army man. He found sticky tack that I didn’t know about, pulled off two small pieces (one for each leg) and stuck the body back onto the base. Not perfect, but definitely fixed for his use.
It’s funny how complex I make things and how simple that same situation is to a child.
