We’re doing a series on guy/girl issues and dating with our students at crew. As I was going through some old curriculum, I found an old series we purchased from Youth Specialties called “Good Sex”.
I left it on my desk last night.
Everyone that’s walked by my office has made a comment, snickered, turned red, or gotten nervous because of it.
I feel like I’m surrounded by 11-year-olds.

I thought your talk last night was very well done. People always get goofy when they are nervous about a subject.
I can imagine that it was a tough subject to broach.

are you using “Good Sex” with jr highers?
I used the curriculum with jr high and high school several years ago, and all the student had the student guides. And some parents were upset with the questions in the back.

i was just using it as a reference.
last night i adapted a message from Doug Fields (one of his freebies on simplyyouthministry.com). in hindsight, i think i would have just come up with my own stuff. it was good, but i think there were aspects that we needed to cover that we didn’t fully address.
That’s pretty fun. So funny I laughed.
