go time

Tonight we started a new series, “Go” in our youth service. We took a look at Matthew 28:19-20. It’s a familiar passage to most Christians, but we broke it down into sections and tried to dissect it a bit.

One of the points I made was that the phrase “therefore, go” is better translated as “in your going” or “having gone” (it’s an aorist passive). The idea here is that we are already going and proclaiming something. We don’t make the decision to go and teach, but rather, we have the ability to choose what we are proclaiming with our life. You and I are already communicating a message with our lives. The real question is, what message are you sending?

  1. P. Erik,
This was one of the best, most compelling messages that I have heard since coming to Stone. I pray that the students will pick up the flag and run it forward!
    Again, truly outstanding!
