Here’s my first take at a logo for our Winter Retreat this coming February.

I’d love your thoughts/suggestions/etc.

I like the colors and the idea! I wish I was talented at photochop and the like…sometimes I can make a mean stick figure, but that is about it.

I admire your talent… especially after spending hours trying to figure out how to do something much simpler in photoshop.
I like it… I think it’s something the students will wear alot too. On a gray shirt?

Looks awesome. Where do you guys go for your winter retreat. I see the need to have one but would like to hear from a seasoned pro like you on where you go.

Mike and Katie,

I got some inspiration from http://www.smashingmagazine.com (search for “grunge”). You can find all sorts of tools/designs/ideas from that site. I created the wing/shield/thing from a free paintbrush I downloaded from a link I got there.

Kermit,

We go to Spencer Lake (it’s the Wisconsin District campground). Our Winter Retreat is the highlight of the year. Hands down it’s the best event we do. Great time for connecting w/ others and God.
