Mike Trevino twittered about this earlier today. I thought I’d post it for any parents who read my blog. According to a recent survey, 1 in 5 students have sent or posted nude or semi-nude photos of themselves.

Mark Matlock of Planet Wisdom posted an excellent article on the dangers of the internet. Most of my youth worker friends have probably already seen it, but I realize I have several parents who read my blog and wouldn’t come across it otherwise.
It’s a bit lengthy, but it’s a must read and brings some great balance to an important topic that isn’t going away. Parents and youth workers need to be aware of the real dangers so we can address them in a realistic and effective way (especially in light of yesterday’s post).
