We had our annual Winter Retreat this past weekend. I’m still exhausted from it, but it’s a good thing. I love investing in students, especially for events like this one.
This is definitely the highlight of our year for our student ministry. Each year we have a blast connecting to God and to each other. This was our largest retreat and the crazy thing is that we brought 18 more students than our average weekly attendance. The event has definitely taken on a life of its own.
Many students expressed a renewed commitment to live for Christ and several indicated that they had a meaningful encounter with the Holy Spirit for the first time. Through the fun, the planning, the traffic, the craziness, the messy games and the lack of showers, God met with us in a powerful way. I’m always amazed by His goodness and the way He choses to interact with His people.
