The Standard.

Those of you who visit the blog on a regular basis and don’t just subscribe via RSS, know that I updated the design of my site about a month ago. I had been using a free template I found on a design website from back in 2008. It was good, but I wanted something great.

That’s why about a month ago, I purchased the Standard Theme by the 8-bit network and I love it. I still have a lot that I want to add here (most of what you see here is built in to the template itself), but it’s a great theme and the best I’ve worked with on WordPress. It has a settings panel that provides an incredible amount of customizations.

I have a side business of setting up and customizing blogs and websites for individuals and churches at scottpress.com. I’m so satisfied with Standard Theme, that I’m planning on moving each of the WordPress blogs I host over to this theme. It’s that good.

Anyway, the point of this post is to let you know that the developers of this theme are having a 20% off sale from now until next Wednesday, February 15. If you have a blog and you want to use a premium WordPress theme that has built-in social media features, looks great and uses SEO best practices (to drive traffic to your site), then do yourself a favor a pick it up while the sale lasts.

Don’t just take my word for it. Mashable called it one of the 8 best premium themes available for WordPress.

And if you need some help or are interested in me setting up a blog or website, check out my portfolio at scottpress.com.
